Are garage floor tiles worth it?
For some situations, yes. Interlocking tiles are DIY-friendly, relatively affordable, and let you replace individual damaged sections without redoing the whole floor, which makes them appealing for renters or anyone who wants a quick weekend upgrade. They fall short in a few areas though: they sit on top of the concrete rather than bonding to it, which means they can shift over time or trap moisture underneath, and the seams between tiles can collect dirt and grime that’s harder to clean than a seamless coating. For a long-term, low-maintenance investment in a home you plan to stay in, a bonded coating typically outperforms tiles. For a rental or a quick refresh, tiles can absolutely make sense.
